Blurred Lines: Payments Companies Evolve to Meet Consumer and Merchant Needs

The Strawhecker Group (TSG), the largest analytics and consulting firm focused on the payments acceptance industry, is kicking-off its second-annual ‘Payments Analytics Month’. This month will highlight the importance of using analytics to enhance decision-making while providing industry players with actionable insights.

“The industry is seeing a lot of change, such as the evolution of the consumer experience when making a purchase, whether at the point-of-sale or in an ecommerce environment. Payments companies are leveraging analytics to better serve their customers, benchmark performance, and enhance offerings,” said Mike Strawhecker, Partner at TSG.

Each week in October, TSG will release ‘data snapshots’ on a new topic relevant to the industry. In the first week, the firm will highlight consumer spending performance, by region and in key merchant categories, through its U.S. Spending Snapshot published in conjunction with the Electronic Transactions Association (ETA).
