Nuvei Corp. has partnered with Adobe Inc. to provide an application programming interface to Adobe Commerce customers that enables easier access to its platform. The API provides these customers access to more than 680 regional alternative payment methods.

In addition to supporting an array of alternative payment methods, Nuvei’s API also supports account-to-account payments through the automated clearing house. B2C and B2B businesses in such vertical markets as retail and consumer products, manufacturing, technology, and health care can use the API to simplify e-commerce payments and expand into new markets, Nuvei says.

Adobe Commerce is an e-commerce platform that allows users to create personalized B2C and B2B experiences for online shoppers.

“After a record-setting holiday season for e-commerce, businesses are having to adapt quickly to keep up with customer demand for personalized and convenient online-shopping experiences,” Jason Knell, senior director of content and commerce partnerships for Adobe, says in a statement. “By working with Nuvei, Adobe Commerce provides merchants greater flexibility in the payment experience for consumers shopping online, as well as across B2B channels.”

Online shoppers in the United States spent $222.1 billion online from Nov. 1 to Dec. 31, up 4.9% year-over-year and a new record for e-commerce sales during the holiday shopping season, according to Adobe Analytics.
